INSTALLATION
Please inspect the tunnel for any obvious signs of damage, which may have occurred
during shipping. Your EZ-Seal system was inspected, found to be in good order
when it left our plant. If any signs of damage are detected, contact Axon
Corporation immediately.
NOTE
Prior to attempting the installation of your new EZ-Seal Heat Shrink Tunnel please
review the contents of this entire manual to familiarize your yourself with the entire
machine.
Locate the box containing the EZ-Seal Heat Shrink Tunnel near its final location if
space permits to minimize the amount of handling required.
CAUTION
The EZ-Seal machine is heavy. Follow safe lifting procedures when handling the
tunnel.
The Heat Tunnel can be installed using several different means. The standard
attachment means is with brackets and threaded rod to adjust the tunnel height. The
following optional mounts are available:
1. Auto Tunnel lift – This option provides a pneumatic cylinder to lift a tunnel
away from the surface of the conveyor to prevent damage to the conveyor
and product.
2. Tunnel Stand – This option provides a separate stand to mount the tunnel
on. This option allows the tunnel to be moved to different packaging lines
as needed (the stand can be provided with castors for easier movement.)
The stand also provides for additional height above the conveyor when
banding tall products or products with wide bases. The Tunnel Stand
includes the EZ-Lift – a manual hand crank to adjust the height of the
tunnel above the conveyor.
To mount the tunnel with the standard brackets:
1. Mount the provided angle brackets onto the existing conveyor.
2. Use the four threaded rods and the nuts to mount tunnel onto the angle brackets.
3. Adjust the height of the tunnel such that the bottom of the tunnel is 1/2" below
the lowest point of the band.

WARNING
The Heat Shrink Tunnel needs to be installed by a qualified Electrician
in accordance with local electrical codes.
Connect the Tunnel to the power source. The Tunnel should be equipped with the
appropriate cord and disconnect to meet site needs and local electrical code.
