How to troubleshoot BAC NEXUS NXF-0403N-CS2TS-H3 Accessories fan that does not run?
    • C
      Clarence CarterAug 8, 2025
If the BAC Accessories fan is not running, there are several potential causes related to power issues. First, try cycling the power on and off. Then, confirm that power is applied to the unit at the main disconnect and to each fan by checking the terminals. Ensure all terminals are tight and check the power wires at the fan housing. Also, verify the tightness of all terminals at the Modbus module. Alternatively, there may be a fan internal fault. Check the controls user interface for a fan alarm indicating an internal fault. Finally, there could be a control signal issue. Use a meter to check the control voltage at the terminals (-V, 10V, or mA, depending on the control signal) and ensure that a fan speed control signal is being sent to the unit.

What to do if there is no spray water or pump does not run in BAC Accessories?
    • P
      Peter FullerAug 13, 2025
If there is no spray water or the pump isn't running in your BAC Accessories, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the leaving process fluid temperature set point on the controller and the operating mode, as the spray pump only runs when the ambient temperature is above 35°F (1.67°C). Next, ensure water is being supplied to the solenoid make-up valve. Inspect and clean the solenoid make-up valves if needed. Also, check the mechanical makeup valve and float assembly by manually raising and lowering the float. Verify the pump voltage and confirm that the pump operates correctly in Manual Mode. Clean the pump strainer quarterly. Lastly, the water distribution system may be clogged, so clean the spray branches and the nozzles.

If the BAC Accessories fan does not respond to the control signal, it's likely due to a communications fault. Ensure the communications cable is connected to the controller on port J26. Also, check that the communications cable is not cut or damaged and is properly connected at the fan motor.

What causes scale formation on hCore® Heat Transfer Technology in BAC Accessories?
    • A
      arothAug 23, 2025
Scale formation on the hCore® Heat Transfer Technology of your BAC Accessories is often due to hard water. Ensure that the conductivity setpoint is at the desired value and that the system is not in manual mode, with all components showing an OSV (out of status value) status of “NO”. Increase the frequency or duration of bleed by adjusting it in either time-based bleed or conductivity-based bleed mode. Also, make sure the drain valve opens and closes 100% in response to the iPilot® Control System.
