INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on purchasing the BAE 1073. The BAE® 1073 was engineered to fulll the critical need
for a high performance audio pre-amplier/equaliser and is emblematic of the years of experience BAE
has had in professional audio. We recommend that you spend a few minutes reviewing this manual to
learn about the operation and functionality of your unit.
UNPACKING
Prior to unpacking you BAE 1073, carefully inspect the packing material for any damage. Once you
have determined that the packing material has not been compromised, carefully unpack the unit and
inspect it for obvious damage. BAE takes great care in designing the packaging to withstand most
expected impacts during shipping. If any damage is discovered during the inspection process, contact
your BAE dealer so the issue can be immediately addressed.
FEATURES
The BAE 1073 is available as a 10 series module or as a rackmount unit. The BAE 1073 is as authentic
as you can get to the original 1073, featuring the same St Ives (Carnhill) transformers as the vintage
modules, Elma switches and Canford wire.
The BAE 1073 looks identical to the original vintage module and will happily retrot in vintage Neve 80
Series consoles because the entire product is engineered in exactly the same way as the originals: The
same chassis construction, connectors, printed circuit board layouts, hand-wired looms, and circuitry.
24V PSU
The rackmount version comes with a power supply which is convertible to 230, 240, 100 and 220VAC.
The remote power supply includes a four-foot cable capable of four times the current needed by the
preamp for optimum sound quality.
