If the pilot light won't stay lit on your Bakers Pride Oven, several factors could be at play. A common cause is insufficient gas flow, so you should check the gas pressure. Other potential issues include an incorrect orifice (like an LP orifice mistakenly used instead of a natural gas one), or a blocked orifice in the pilot, which requires cleaning. The pilot flame might be too small and needs adjustment. Also, ensure the jumper wire at the thermostat posts on the combination valve is clean and tight. The thermopile should be clean, and its fastening nut should be tight to the pilot bracket. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the thermopile, thermocouple, or the valve itself might be faulty.
