What to do if baltur BT 350 DSG Burner goes into lock-out spraying fuel but the flame does not ignite (red indicator lit)?
    • S
      Suzanne RichardsAug 17, 2025
If your Baltur Burner goes into lock-out, spraying fuel but the flame does not ignite, here are a few things to check: 1. The pump pressure may not be normal, so remove it. 2. There may be water in the fuel; if so, remove it from the tank with a suitable pump (never use the burner pump for this purpose). 3. The combustion air flow could be excessive; if so, reduce it. 4. The air passage between the disk and blast tube might be excessively closed; in this case, rectify the position of the combustion head control device. 5. The nozzle could be worn or fouled; if so, clean or replace it.

      Savannah HowardAug 19, 2025
If your Baltur Burner goes into lock-out with the flame on, the issue lies within the flame control device. Consider these potential causes and solutions: * The photocell might be severed or fouled with smoke; clean or replace it. * There may be insufficient draft; check all the smoke ducts in the boiler and in the chimney. * The photocell circuit could be severed; replace the unit. * The disk or orifice might be fouled; clean it.

What to do if baltur BT 350 DSG goes into lock-out spraying fuel but the flame does not ignite (Red lamp on)?
    • S
      Shelby KnightAug 22, 2025
If your Baltur Burner goes into lock-out, spraying fuel but the flame does not ignite and the red lamp is on, and assuming your fuel is in good condition, check the following: 1. The ignition circuit may be severed; check the entire circuit. 2. The ignition transformer leads may have dried out; replace them. 3. The ignition transformer leads may not be properly connected; lock them. 4. The ignition transformer may be interrupted; replace it. 5. The electrode tips may not be at the correct distance; return them to the required position. 6. The electrodes may discharge to earth because they are dirty or due to cracked insulation; also check under the insulation clamps; clean or replace them, if necessary.

Why does my Baltur Burner fail to start?
    • D
      douglas58Aug 26, 2025
If your Baltur Burner fails to start, consider these possible causes: 1. Thermostats (boiler or environment) or pressure switches open. To resolve, increase the value or wait until they activate due to natural reduction of the temperature or pressure. 2. Photocell in short circuit. Replace it. 3. Lack of voltage due to the main switch being off or meter maximum switch tripped or lack of voltage in the mains. Activate switches or wait for power to return. 4. Thermostat line not wired according to diagram or some thermostat has not activated. Check connections and thermostats. 5. Fault in the appliance. Replace it.

What to do if baltur BT 350 DSG Burner goes into lock-out without spraying fuel (Red lamp on)?
    • B
      bakertimothyAug 27, 2025
If your Baltur Burner goes into lock-out without spraying fuel, and the red lamp is on, consider the following: 1. Check the supply line for a missing phase. 2. If the electric motor is inefficient, repair or replace it. 3. Check the suction pipe if diesel fuel is not reaching the pump. 4. Fill up the tank if there is no diesel fuel in it. 5. Open the gate valve on the suction pipe if it is closed. 6. Remove and thoroughly clean the nozzle if it is clogged. 7. If the motor (three-phase) rotates in the wrong direction, change one phase in the supply switch. 8. Remove and clean the bottom valve if it is leaking or jammed. 9. Replace the pump if it is defective. 10. Check and replace the solenoid valve if it is inefficient. 11. Contact the electric company if the voltage is too low.

How to fix defective flame with presence of sparks in baltur BT 350 DSG Burner?
    • P
      Paul JensenAug 30, 2025
If you observe a defective flame with sparks in your Baltur Burner, here are some potential solutions: * Restore the atomizing pressure to the required rating if it is too low. * Reduce combustion air flow if there is too much combustion air. * Clean or replace the nozzle if it is inefficient, fouled, or worn. * Drain water from the tank using a suitable pump if there is water in the fuel, but never use the burner pump for this purpose.

Why is my baltur BT 350 DSG pump noisy?
    • H
      Heather YoderSep 2, 2025
A noisy Baltur Burner pump could be due to several reasons: * If the pipe diameter is too small, replace it according to instructions. * Check for and eliminate air infiltration in the pipes. * Remove and wash the filter if it is dirty. * Adjust the length of the suction pipe to reduce the distance if there is excessive distance between the tank and the burner or numerous accidental leakages. * Replace deteriorated flexible pipes.

How to fix flame not properly shaped with presence of smoke and soot in Baltur Burner?
    • J
      Jodi AvilaSep 4, 2025
If the flame in your Baltur Burner is not properly shaped and there is smoke and soot, consider these solutions: 1. Increase the combustion air flow if it is insufficient. 2. Clean or replace the nozzle if it is inefficient, fouled, or worn. 3. Modify or reduce the nozzle capacity with respect to the combustion chamber, or replace the boiler if the combustion chamber is unsuitably designed or too small. 4. Increase nozzle delivery rate by replacing it if the delivery nozzle is inadequate with respect to the combustion chamber size. 5. Modify the refractory lining according to the boiler manufacturer’s instructions if it is unsuitable or excessive. 6. Clean the boiler or chimney ducts if they are clogged. 7. Return the atomizing pressure to the required value if it is low.

How to fix defective flame (flickering or protruding from combustion head) in Baltur Burner?
    • C
      courtneywattsSep 7, 2025
If your Baltur Burner has a defective flame that is flickering or protruding from the combustion head, here are some possible solutions: * Adjust the suction fan speed by changing the pulley diameters if there is excessive draught. * Clean or replace the nozzle if it is inefficient, fouled, or worn. * Remove water from the tank with a suitable pump if there is water in the fuel, but never use the burner pump for this purpose. * Clean the disk if it is dirty. * Reduce combustion air flow if there is excessive combustion air flow. * Rectify the position of the combustion head control device if the air passage between the disk and blast tube is excessively closed.

What causes corrosion inside the boiler of Baltur Burner?
    • M
      Melissa HopkinsSep 10, 2025
Corrosion inside the boiler of your Baltur Burner can be caused by: 1. Boiler working temperature being too low (below dew point). Increase the operating temperature. 2. High percentage of sulphur in the fuel. Change the type of fuel. 3. Smoke temperature being too low (below 180 °C). Increase nozzle delivery rate by replacing it.
