2.5.7 Checking the Appliance Following Installation
After installation, the installer needs to visually check the gas flames. When the
fire is ignited, the flames should be short and blue/yellow in colour. These flames
should gradually increase in height and become more yellow. When all flames are
yellow, the gas fire has reached the correct temperature.
The installer should also verify, by using the appliance for the first time, after 10
minutes of operation, that there is no flue leakage.
