Usage Features:

  • Temperature Control: The temperature control dial is located inside the unit in the upper right corner. To turn the unit on, rotate the control knob from the 'O' (off) position. A setting of '5' provides maximum cooling (approximately 3°C), while '1' sets the internal temperature to approximately 10°C. The compressor stops working once the set temperature is reached. For first use, it is recommended to set the temperature to maximum (e.g., '5') and then adjust as needed.
  • Internal Light: The unit includes an internal light, which can be turned on or off using the rocker switch located near the control knob.
  • Door Reversibility: The door opening can be handed, allowing for left or right-hand opening. This involves carefully removing the upper hinge cap, loosening screws, removing the hinge and door, replacing the lower hinge bracket and front foot, moving the hinge hole plug, and then re-fixing the hinges and door.
  • Free-standing Design: The unit is designed to be free-standing.
  • Ventilation Space: A minimum space of 50mm is required at the rear of the fridge and 30mm for the top and both sides to ensure maximum efficiency, performance, and longevity, as well as proper hinge operation.
  • Levelling: The unit should be levelled using the adjustable levelling feet in each corner to ensure stability.
  • Initial Setup: After positioning, allow the unit to rest for an hour before turning it on. Once switched on, allow 2-3 hours for it to reach the set temperature before placing any items inside.
  • Safety: The product is fitted with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug. Users are advised to ensure all electrical equipment is safe, inspect power supply leads and connections for damage, and use an RCD (Residual Current Device) where applicable. The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities if supervised and instructed on safe use.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the power plug. DO NOT use abrasive or chemical cleaning materials. Wipe interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. For more soiled surfaces, use a neutral detergent.
  • Bulb Replacement:
    1. Switch off and disconnect the fridge/chiller from the power source.
    2. The bulb housing is located at the back of the thermostatic control unit inside the chiller.
    3. Remove any products from the area to access the bulb.
    4. Pull down on the clear bulb cover tab to unlock it from the housing (Fig. 1).
    5. Slide out the bulb cover and store it safely (Fig. 2).
    6. Carefully unscrew the bulb counter-clockwise until it comes away from the unit (Fig. 3).
    7. Screw in the replacement bulb firmly, but do not overtighten (Fig. 4).
    8. Slide the bulb cover back into the slot until it clicks (Fig. 5).
    9. Reconnect the unit to the power supply, switch on, and test.
  • Electrical Safety: Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage. Ensure the voltage rating suits the power supply and that the correct fuse is fitted. Any faulty items should be repaired or replaced by a qualified electrician.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the unit not operating, frequent on/off cycling, poor cooling, vibrations, noisy operation, and the door not closing properly, along with suggested solutions.
  • Environmental Protection: The product adheres to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE). Users are instructed to recycle unwanted packaging materials and dispose of the product in an environmentally friendly way at the end of its useful life, draining any fluids into approved containers according to local waste regulations.
