Intended purpose
MalleoTrain S open heel is a medical device�
It is a support for stabilization of the ankle joint
and improved contact with the floor with an open
heel�
Indications
• Ligament insuciency
• Supination prevention
• Slight sprains
Risks of using this product
The benefits of this product are felt particularly
during physical activity�
• Please remove the support during longer
periods of rest�
• Once you have been prescribed the
MalleoTrainS open heel , only use it according
to your indication and any additional instruc

tions given by a medical specialist*� Please
consult a specialist or your doctor first if you
want to use it together with other products�
Do not modify the product yourself in any way;
otherwise it may not help as expected or it may
be harmful to your health� In these cases, any
warranty or liability claims will be excluded�
• Avoid contact with ointments, lotions, or sub

stances containing grease or acids�
• Any aids applied externally to the body may, if
tightened excessively, lead to local pressure
points or, in rare cases, constrict the under lying
blood vessels or nerves�
• If you notice any changes or an increase in
symptoms while wearing the product, stop any
further use and contact your doctor�
Contraindications
No clinically significant adverse reactions have
been reported to date� If you have any of the
following conditions, the product should only be
used after consultation with your physician:
1� Skin disorders / injuries in the relevant part
of the body, particularly if inflammation is
present� Likewise, any raised scars with
swelling, redness, and excessive heat
build-up�
2� Impaired blood flow in the leg / foot (e� g� with
diabetes mellitus)
3� Impaired lymphatic drainage and soft tissue
swelling of unknown origin�
Application instructions
Putting on the MalleoTrainS open heel
• Fold the top part of the support outward until
you can reach the heel� Pull the support over
the foot until it reaches the heel�
• Then unfold the turned-over part of the support
and pull it up until the heel section is positioned
correctly�
• The start of the strap is located on the inside of
the foot�

When winding the strap, make sure
that it sits without folds� To ensure the optimum
fit of the strap, your lower leg must be perpen
-
dicular (at a right angle) to the foot during all
the following steps�
• Guide the strap under the sole of your foot to
-
ward the outside of the foot�

By pulling the
strap, you can generate the stabilization that’s
comfortable for you�
• Place the strap diagonally across the instep and
back around the ankle mortise

and then
guide the strap diagonally forward again to the
inside of the foot

• Pull the strap under the sole of your foot toward
the outside of the foot and over the instep

and fasten the end of the strap to the section of
the strap underneath it�

Taking o the MalleoTrainS open heel
• Loosen the strap and attach the end of the strap
onto another part of the strap� Take hold of the
upper edge of the support and turn it down�
Cleaning instructions
Close all the Velcro fastenings� Please use mild
detergent and a lingerie bag� Never expose your
product to direct heat / cold� Also observe the
instructions on the sewn-in label on the upper
edge of your product� Regular care guarantees
optimum eectiveness of the product�

Warranty
The statutory regulations of the country of pur

chase apply� Please first contact the retailer from
whom you obtained the product directly in the
event of a potential claim under the warranty� The
product must be cleaned before submitting it in

Warranty is excluded if:

• Retirez votre orthèse en cas de phases de repos

• À la suite de la prescription d’une MalleoTrainS
open heel , veuillez utiliser exclusivement cette
genouillère dans le respect des indications et
conformément aux autres consignes fournies
par les professionnels formés* de la santé� En
cas d’utilisation concomitante d’autres produits,
veuillez consulter préalablement un profes

sionnel formé ou votre médecin� N’eectuez
vous-même aucun changement sur le produit;
autrement, le produit ne vous apportera pas
l’aide escomptée ou pourra entraîner des eets
néfastes sur la santé� En pareil cas, la garantie et
notre responsabilité sont exclues�
• Évitez tout contact avec des substances grasses
ou acides, des crèmes ou des lotions�
• Toutes les aides thérapeutiques positionnées
sur les diérentes parties du corps peuvent
conduire à des pressions locales excessives
si elles sont portées trop serrées, et plus
rarement à un rétrécissement du calibre des
vaisseaux sanguins ou des nerfs�
• Si, lors du port du produit, vous constatez
un quelconque changement ou des troubles

Contre-indications
Aucun eet secondaire de caractère pathologique
n'est connu� En présence des aections citées ci-
après, l'application du produit doit être précédée
d’une consultation médicale:
1� Dermatoses / lésions cutanées dans la zone en
contact avec l’appareillage, notamment en cas
d’inflammations, de cicatrices avec enflure, de
rougeur et d'hyperthermie
2� Troubles de la circulation sanguine au niveau
de la jambe / du pied (par exemple, en cas de
diabète sucré)

Troubles de la circulation lymphatique et
tuméfactions inexpliqués�
Conseils d’utilisation
Mise en place de la MalleoTrainS open heel
• Rabattez le bord supérieur de l‘orthèse vers
l‘extérieur jusqu‘à ce que l‘on puisse atteindre le
talon� Tirez sur l‘orthèse jusqu‘au talon en
passant sur le pied�
• Repliez le rabat de l‘orthèse et tirez-le vers le
haut jusqu‘à ce que la partie du talon soit
correctement en place�
• L’extrémité de la sangle se trouve du côté intér
-
ieur du pied�

Lors de la mise en place de la
sangle, veillez à ce qu’elle ne fasse pas de pli�
Afin d’obtenir une bonne position de la sangle,
le bas de votre jambe et votre pied doivent
toujours former un angle droit lors des étapes
suivantes (jambe à la verticale)�
• Faites passer la sangle sous la plante du pied
vers l’extérieur�

Le serrage vous permet
d‘obtenir le degré de stabilité désiré�
• Passez la sangle en diagonale par-dessus le
cou-de-pied� Passez vers l‘arrière autour de la
cheville (fourchette malléolaire)�

Ramenez à
nouveau la sangle en diagonale vers l’avant et
l’intérieur du pied

• Tirez la sangle sous la plante du pied vers
l’extérieur jusqu’au-dessus du cou-de-pied

et
fixez l‘extrémité de la sangle sur la partie sous-
jacente de cette dernière�

Retrait de la MalleoTrainS open heel
• Ouvrez la sangle et attachez l’extrémité de la
sangle sur une partie de celle-ci� Saisissez
l‘orthèse au niveau de la bordure supérieure et
retournez-la vers le bas�
Conseils de nettoyage
Fermez toutes les fermetures «velcro»� Veuillez
utiliser une lessive pour linge délicat ainsi qu‘un
filet à linge� Ne jamais exposer votre dispositif à
une source de chaleur / froid directe� Veuillez tenir
compte des conseils de l‘étiquette cousue sur le
bord supérieur de votre produit� Un entretien ré
-
gulier permet de garantir une ecacité optimale
du dispositif médical�

Le produit est destiné à votre traitement tout à
fait personnel�
Garantie
