Dear client,
thank you for choosing a product from Bauerfeind. ViscoHeel® is a high-
quality medical product.
Please read through these instructions for use carefully and if you have any
questions contact your medical provider, medical retailer or our Technical
Service department.
ViscoHeel® are viscoelastic heel pads that provide relief for joints, ligaments,
muscles and tendons (e.g. the Achilles tendon). ViscoHeel® pads are non-
slip and can be applied in all types of walking, sports or work shoes.
ViscoHeel® must be tted for the rst use by a trained specialist, other-
wise we cannot accept any liability for the product.
Indications
ViscoHeel® N:
Wear (arthritis) in the leg joints and relief for those with arti cal joints
(prostheses)
Achilles tendon symptoms (achillodynia)
Leg length discrepancies of up to approx. 1 cm (compensation)
ViscoHeel® K:
Bow-legged or knock-kneed heel position (varus or valgus alignment)
Side effects
Side effects, that affect the entire organism, have not been reported to date.
Correct tting is assumed.
Contra-indications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not been reported to date.
In the following conditions such aids should only be tted and applied after
consultation with your medical provider:
Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if in-
ammation is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and
excessive heat build-up.

Fitting ViscoHeel®
ViscoHeel® N:
Insert the ViscoHeel® pad into the shoe so that it ts precisely in the
shoe’s heel section.
ViscoHeel® K:
The ViscoHeel® K pads are used for correcting a bow-legged or knock-
kneed heel position. The heel pads are marked with the letter A and B.
For a bow-legged heel position, insert the heel pad as follows: heel pad
A in the right shoe, heel pad B in the left shoe. The heel pad should t
precisely in the shoe’s heel section.
For a knock-kneed heel position, insert the heel pad as follows: heel pad
A in the left shoe, heel pad B in the right shoe. The heel pad should t
precisely in the shoe’s heel section.
Important Information
ViscoHeel® is a prescribed product that should be applied under a
physician’s guidance. ViscoHeel® should only be applied in accordance
with the instructions contained in these usage directions and for the
listed areas of application.
The product is intented to be tted only once and to one patient.
No liability is accepted for improper use of the product.
Changes must not be made for the product. Non compliance can reduce
the performance of the product and thus no liability will be accepted.
Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g. increased symptoms),
please contact your medical provider without delay.
The use of ViscoHeel® during sport should be discussed with the medical
provider.
Guarantee subject to statutory regulations.
The product can be disposed of without any restrictions.
Product care and washing instructions
Wash ViscoHeel
®
with a mild soap or detergent.
This product has been examined by our own quality control system. However,
should you have any complaint, please contact your retailer or our customer
service department.
