or when you choose to close the only open file, you will be taken
back to a blank document in the word processor after closing the
file.
4) Save. To avoid the menu in future, enter shortcut command is
s+B9B8.
a) To save the current document, choose File > Save from the menu.
b) When Save is selected, VarioUltra saves the document in the
currently selected folder. A message says “File Saved”. It is a
good idea to save your documents regularly to avoid rare,
unexpected data loss.
c) To change the file name or path, choose the Save As option
instead.
5) Save As. To avoid the menu in future, enter shortcut command is
a+B9B8.
a) To save as, choose File > Save As from the menu.
b) An edit will appear with the current file name. Delete the old name
and type the new name here. Remember: you must use
uncontracted braille here to avoid use of any forbidden characters.
c) To change the path or save location, scroll down with the
Navistick. You will be taken to a field which presents the path. If
the path is ok, scroll down with Navistick.
d) To change the path, select the Browse button. This will open a
new dialog where you can select the desired folder.
e) The next line down lets you change the file type. Select from the
list of file types, moving left or right with the Navistick.
f) Confirm with OK, or press B9B0+B7B8 to cancel.
6) Protect/Unprotect Text. To avoid the menu in future, enter shortcut
command z+B9B8.
a) This menu option is a toggle.
b) If the menu option says Protect, it means your document is
editable.
c) If the menu option says Unprotect, it means your document is
Read Only.
7) Previous File. To avoid the menu in future, enter shortcut command -
+B9B8.
a) To move to the previous opened document, go to File >Previous
File.
b) When selected, VarioUltra switches to the last opened document
you were working with.
8) List Open Files. To avoid the menu in future, enter shortcut command
l+B9B8.
a) To list all currently open documents, go to Fil > List Open Files.
b) When selected, a horizontal list of all documents is shown.
