The Beamz BBP94 Uplight Par (Ref. nr.: 150.589) is a versatile lighting fixture designed for various applications, offering both DMX control and standalone operation, as well as rechargeable battery functionality for enhanced portability.
Function Description
The BBP94 Uplight Par serves as a lighting fixture capable of producing a wide range of colors and effects. It can operate in several modes:
- DMX Mode: Allows for professional control via a DMX-512 controller, supporting either 6 or 10 DMX channels for precise manipulation of color, strobe, and program settings.
- Auto Mode: Features pre-programmed automatic light shows, offering various dynamic lighting sequences without external control.
- Sound Active Mode: Enables the fixture to react to music, synchronizing its lighting effects with the beat.
- Master/Slave Operation: Permits multiple BBP94 units to be linked together, with one unit acting as a "master" to control the others ("slaves") synchronously.
- Manual Mode: Provides direct control over individual color components (red, green, blue, white, amber, UV) and their intensity, allowing users to create custom static colors.
- Strobe Mode: Offers adjustable strobe speed for both automatic and sound-active programs.
- Fade Mode: Controls the speed of color fading transitions in automatic, sound-active, and manual modes.
The device is equipped with a control board featuring MODE, UP, DOWN, and ENTER buttons for navigating menus and selecting desired settings. A remote controller is also included, providing convenient wireless access to all operational modes and settings, including blackout, auto, sound, strobe, speed, sensitivity, DMX, manual color selection, fade, and brightness adjustment (1-9).

Usage Features
- Rechargeable Battery Operation: The BBP94 can operate independently of mains power after its rechargeable battery is fully charged. The operating time varies with mode and ambient temperature. The device can be used while charging. A protective circuit prevents overcharging, but it's recommended to disconnect from mains after full charge to avoid low current consumption. To prolong battery life, recharge fully discharged batteries as soon as possible and regularly recharge during long storage periods.
- DMX Connectivity: Standard DMX-512 controllers can be connected directly. For 5-pin DMX controllers, a 3-pin to 5-pin XLR adapter is required. The DMX chain should be terminated with a 120 Ohm resistor at the last fixture.
- Control Panel: The onboard control panel allows setting the DMX address, selecting pre-programmed programs, or performing a reset. Navigation is done via Mode, Up, Down, and Enter buttons.
- Remote Control: A comprehensive IR remote control provides easy access to all functions. It comes with an insulating foil to prevent battery discharge during storage, which must be removed before first use. The remote uses a 3V CR2025 button cell battery.
- Safety: The product is designed for indoor use and must be connected to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse. It should not be exposed to rain or moisture. High-intensity LEDs are used, and direct eye contact with the light should be avoided. The housing can become very hot during operation.
Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning of the internal and external optical lenses and mirrors is crucial for optimal light output. The cleaning frequency depends on the operating environment (e.g., damp, smoky, or dirty conditions increase dirt accumulation).
- General Cleaning:
- Ensure the area below the installation site is clear of personnel during servicing.
- Housings, fixings, and installation points (ceiling, truss, suspensions) must be free from deformation.
- Mains cables should be in impeccable condition and replaced immediately if any damage is detected.
- Cooling fans (if present) and ventilation openings should be cleaned monthly to prevent overheating.
- The interior of the fixture should be cleaned annually using a vacuum cleaner or air-jet.
- Clean with a soft cloth and normal glass cleaning fluid; always dry parts carefully.
- Avoid using alcohol or any solvents for cleaning.
- Optical Cleaning:
- External optics should be cleaned at least monthly.
- Internal optics should be cleaned every 30-60 days.
- Internal cleaning is strongly recommended to be carried out by qualified personnel.
All repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician to avoid electrical shock and to maintain warranty validity. Unauthorized modifications will invalidate the CE certificate and warranty. The product should be transported in its original packaging for safe conditions.
