7.1 Overview

The EJ1914 Safety EtherCAT plug-in module is a digital input module for sensors with floating contacts for
24V
DC
. The plug-in module has 8 fail-safe inputs and 8 clock outputs and meets the requirements of
IEC61508:2010 SIL3 and ENISO13849-1:2015PLe.
The EJ module is parameterized via four input modules.
7.2 Insertion of the EJ1918
An EJ1918 is inserted in exactly the same way as any other Beckhoff EtherCAT module. In the list, open
Safety Terminals and select the EJ1918 module.
