Oil Grade Specification:
MIL-L-6082 Aviation grade straight mineral oil: Use to replenish supply during first 25
hours or until oil consumption stabilizes whichever occurs later.
After oil consumption stabilizes use either:
MIL-L-2285 Ashless dispersant OIL.
MIL-L-22851 Ashless dispersant OIL.
Recommended Viscosity for temperature range:
Above 15 C ........................................................................... SAE 50
-1 C to 32 C ........................................................................ SAE 40
-17 C to 21 C ....................................................................... SAE 30
Below -12 C ........................................................................ SAE 20
Note: In addition to the above single viscosity oils, multi-viscosity oils meeting MIL-L-
22851 are approved.
