Overview

The Behringer AIRPLAY GUITAR AG10 is a high-performance 2.4 GHz guitar wireless system designed for musicians seeking freedom from cables with ultra-low latency and a rechargeable battery. This system consists of a transmitter and a receiver, both compact and designed for ease of use.

Function Description:

The AIRPLAY GUITAR AG10 system allows a guitar or bass to wirelessly transmit its audio signal to an amplifier or other audio input. The transmitter plugs into the instrument's output, and the receiver plugs into the amplifier's input. It operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, providing a reliable wireless connection up to 30 meters (approximately 98 feet). The system aims to deliver a clear, uncompressed audio signal with minimal delay, ensuring that the player's performance remains natural and responsive. Its primary function is to eliminate the need for physical audio cables, offering greater mobility on stage or during practice.

Usage Features:

  • Easy Setup: The system is designed for plug-and-play operation. Both the transmitter and receiver feature a 1/4" TS jack for direct connection to instruments and amplifiers.
  • Channel Selection: The AG10 offers 4 selectable channels to avoid interference. Channel 1 is automatically selected when the units are turned on. Users can press the "SEL" button on each unit to cycle through channels if interference is detected. It's crucial that both the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel for proper operation.
  • Multi-Receiver Capability: The transmitter's signal can be received by multiple receivers set to the same channel. This allows for flexible setups, such as feeding the signal to two amplifiers simultaneously for a stereo sound image or to different destinations.
  • Compact Design: Both units are small and lightweight, making them unobtrusive when connected to an instrument or amplifier. They can also be clipped together for convenient transportation and storage, enhancing portability.
  • LED Indicators: Each unit includes 4 LEDs that serve multiple purposes:
    • Battery Charge/Level: These LEDs indicate the battery charge status (100%, 75%, 50%, Low Battery). They flash twice when the unit is turned ON.
    • Channel Indicator: The LEDs also display the currently selected channel. When units are on different channels, the receiver's LEDs will flash repeatedly until the correct channel is selected.
  • Rechargeable Battery: The internal 750 mAh Lithium Battery provides up to 6 hours of operating time, offering ample usage for practice sessions or performances.
  • On/Off Switch: A simple slide switch on each unit controls the power. It is recommended to turn off the power amplifier first, then set both the transmitter and receiver switches to the OFF position when not in use.

Maintenance Features:

  • Charging: The units are charged via a supplied duo-pin USB charging cable, which connects to a computer USB output. It is recommended to fully charge both units before their first use and to charge them at least once a month to maintain battery health.
  • Cleaning: The units should be cleaned only with a dry cloth.
  • Storage: Store the product in a clean and dry environment.

    • Avoid exposing the power pack to fire or excessive temperatures (above 100°C/212°F) to prevent explosion.
    • Do not expose the product to bright sunshine for extended periods.
    • Do not disassemble the apparatus; servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel. Incorrect reassembly poses a risk of fire or injury.
    • Do not use the apparatus if it is damaged or modified, as damaged batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior.
    • Keep the product safely out of reach of children and pets due to choking and swallowing hazards from its small size and internal battery.
    • Use only the power supply or charger recommended by the manufacturer to avoid fire or injury.
    • Do not operate the apparatus in excess of its output rating to prevent fire or injury.
    • To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods.
  • Disposal: The product must be disposed of separately from household waste, following the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and national laws. It should be taken to a collection center licensed for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) to prevent negative environmental and health impacts.
