Overview

This document is a user manual for a Beko dishwasher, providing comprehensive information on its function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Beko dishwasher is designed for domestic use, specifically for washing household dishes. It incorporates a range of features to ensure efficient cleaning and drying, while also offering user-friendly operation and various customization options. Key functions include:

  • Washing Programs: The dishwasher offers multiple washing programs tailored to different soiling degrees and dish types, including "InnerClean" for machine cleaning, "Eco" for economical washing, "Auto" for automatic adjustment based on soiling, "AquaFlex" for mixed loads, "Intensive" for heavily soiled items, "Quick&Shine" for fast daily washing, "GlassCare" for delicate glassware, "Mini 30" for lightly soiled dishes, and "Prewash" for removing food remnants.
  • Water Softening System: Equipped with a water softening system, the dishwasher reduces the hardness of incoming water, which is crucial for optimal washing, rinsing, and drying performance. Users can adjust the water hardness level based on their supply water.
  • Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispensing: The machine supports powder, liquid/gel, and tablet detergents. It also has a dedicated rinse aid reservoir to enhance drying efficiency and prevent water or lime stains.
  • Drying System: A fan drying system (on some models) ensures efficient drying of dishes. The "SteamGloss Function" provides superior drying performance.
  • Auxiliary Functions: Various auxiliary functions allow users to save time, water, and power. These include "Half Load Function" for partial loads, "Fast+ Function" for shortening wash cycles with higher pressure, and "AquaIntense Function" which uses a dedicated impeller for heavily soiled dishes in the lower basket.
  • Auto Tablet Feature: This feature automatically detects the use of combined tablet detergents and adjusts temperature and duration for improved drying.
  • Time Delay Function: Users can delay the start of a selected program by up to 24 hours, useful for utilizing economical electricity tariffs.
  • Interior Lighting (on some models): Illuminates the interior when the door is opened, with adjustable settings.
  • Floor Illumination (on some models): Projects a light onto the floor during the washing process, indicating that the machine is in operation.

Important Technical Specifications

Usage Features

The manual provides detailed instructions for optimal use:

  • Installation: Requires a solid, flat floor, appropriate water supply (min 0.3, max 10 bar pressure, up to 25°C), and drainage connections. Electrical connections must be grounded and comply with national regulations. The Aquasafe+ system (if present) protects against water leaks.
  • Initial Use: Before first use, the salt reservoir should be filled with 1 liter of water, then salt, and the shortest program run with detergent while empty.
  • Loading Dishes: Dishes should be placed in an orderly way, with coarse food remnants wiped off. Heavily soiled and larger items go in the lower basket, while smaller, delicate items go in the upper basket. Hollowed dishes should be placed upside down. Sharp items should be placed pointed down or horizontally.
  • Basket Configuration:
    • Cutlery Basket: Designed for efficient washing of cutlery, it can be moved to create more space.
    • Collapsible Lower Basket Tines: Foldable tines allow for easier placement of large items like pans and bowls.
    • Lower Basket Multipurpose / Height Adjustable Service Rack: Accommodates extra glasses, long ladles, and bread knives, with adjustable height.
    • Lower Basket Bottle Wire: Designed for long pieces with wide mouths, removable when not in use.
    • Upper Basket Height Adjustable Rack: Allows adjustment of rack height for different glass and cup sizes.
    • Upper Basket Multipurpose Service Rack: For extra long ladles and bread knives.
    • Adjusting Upper Basket Height: The upper basket can be adjusted to three positions (lower, middle, upper) even when loaded, by lifting or pushing latches.
    • Collapsible Upper Basket Wires: Create larger spaces in the upper basket for bigger dishes.
    • Ceiling Cutlery Basket: Designed for cutlery items, with a partial movement feature on some models to lower the central tray for taller items.

  • Indicators: Salt indicator (S) and Rinse Aid indicator (*) alert users when refills are needed.
  • Warning Sounds: The warning sound volume can be adjusted.
  • Error Warnings: "Water cut-off warning" (E:02) indicates no water supply, and "Overflowing warning" (E:01) indicates excess water or leakage.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the product's service life and ensuring efficient operation:

  • General Cleaning: Unplug the product and turn off the tap before cleaning. Do not use abrasive substances.
  • Outer Surface Cleaning: Wipe with a mild cleaning material and damp cloth.
  • Interior Cleaning: Run a program with or without detergent. If water remains, drain it and check filters for blockages.
  • Filter Cleaning: Filters (micro filter, coarse filter, metal/plastic filter) should be cleaned at least once a week under running water. Incorrect placement reduces washing efficiency.
  • Hose Filter Cleaning: The filter attached to the water inlet hose should be checked and cleaned regularly to prevent damage from impurities.
  • Impeller Cleaning: Lower and upper impellers should be checked and cleaned at least once a week to ensure holes are not clogged. The lower impeller can be pulled up, and the upper impeller's nut turned to remove it.

The manual also includes a comprehensive troubleshooting section to address common issues such as dishes not being washed clean, not drying properly, stains, misty appearance, odors, rust, and detergent residue.
