Usage Features
The washing machine offers a variety of programmes and auxiliary functions to cater to different laundry types and soiling degrees.
Main Programmes:
- Cottons: For durable cotton laundry (sheets, bedlinen, towels, bathrobes, underwear). Features a quick wash function for shorter duration and intense washing, or superior washing and rinsing for heavily soiled laundry.
- Synthetics: For t-shirts, synthetic/cotton mix fabrics. Offers a quick wash function for shorter duration and efficient washing, or superior washing and rinsing for heavily soiled laundry.
- Wool/Hand Wash: For woolen/delicate clothes, with delicate movements to prevent damage. Temperature should comply with garment tags.
Additional Programmes:
- Cottons Eco: For normally soiled, durable cotton and linen laundry. Provides high energy and water savings, though it washes longer. Duration may shorten for smaller loads.
- Hygiene: Applies a steam step at the beginning for easy dirt softening. Suitable for baby clothes, bed sheets, bedlinen, underwear, and other cotton items requiring anti-allergic and hygienic washing at high temperatures with intensive and long cycles. Certified by "The British Allergy Foundation" for allergen, bacteria, and mould elimination.
- Delicate: For delicate laundry like cotton/synthetic mix knitted clothes and socks. Features more delicate washing movements. Recommended temperature is 20°C or cold wash to preserve color.
- Daily Xpress / Xpress Super Short: For lightly soiled cotton clothes in a short time. Duration can be reduced to 14 minutes with the quick wash function (max 2 kg laundry).
- DarkWash/ Jeans: Preserves color of dark-colored clothes and jeans with special drum movements at low temperatures. Liquid detergent or wool shampoo recommended. Not for delicate wool clothes.
- Mix 40: For washing cotton and synthetic clothes together.
- Shirts: For cotton, synthetic, and synthetic blended shirts. Reduces wrinkles with a special spin profile and steam at the end. Quick wash function executes a pre-treatment algorithm. Pre-treatment chemical can be applied directly or added with detergent.
- Outdoor/Sport: For sports and outdoors garments (cotton/synthetics mix, water repellent covers like gore-tex). Gentle washing with special rotating movements.
- Down Wear: For coats, vests, jackets with feathers (machine-washable label). Special spinning profiles ensure water reaches air gaps. Steam applied at the end to soften bulky laundry.
- StainExpert: Removes 24 types of stains from durable colorfast cotton laundry. Stains are grouped based on quick function selection. Garment tags should be checked for correct temperature and spin speed.
Temperature Selection:
Recommended temperature is displayed upon programme selection. Can be decreased gradually using the Temperature Adjustment button. Cold wash option turns off temperature level lights. Temperature can be changed before the heating step without pausing.
Spin Speed Selection:
Recommended spin speed is displayed upon programme selection. Can be decreased gradually using the Spin Speed Adjustment button. "Rinse Hold" and "No Spin" options are available. "No Spin" turns off rinse level indicator lights.
Rinse Hold:
Keeps laundry in final rinsing water to prevent wrinkles if not unloaded immediately. Press Start/Pause to drain water without spinning. To spin, adjust Spin Speed and press Start/Pause.
Auxiliary Functions:
- Prewash: For heavily soiled laundry. Not using it saves energy, water, detergent, and time. Recommended without detergent for tulle and curtains.
- Fast+: Reduces programme durations by 50% through optimized washing steps, high mechanic activity, and optimum water consumption, maintaining high washing performance.
- PHR (Pet Hair Removal): Adds Prewash and Extra Rinse steps to normal programmes, using more water to effectively remove pet hair.
Detergent and Softener Usage:
- Use detergents, softeners, and supplements suitable for automatic washing machines only.
- Follow instructions on textile labels and detergent packages.
- Add detergent and softener before starting.
- Do not leave dispenser open during cycle.
- For programmes without prewash, do not put detergent in prewash compartment (1).
- For programmes with prewash, do not put liquid detergent in prewash compartment (1).
- If using a detergent bag or dispensing ball, place it directly among laundry.
- If using liquid detergent, place the liquid detergent container into the main wash compartment (2).
- Use different detergents for colored and white laundry.
- Use special detergents for delicate clothes (liquid, wool shampoo).
- Liquid detergent recommended for dark colored clothes and quilts.
- Special detergent for woolens.
- Do not use soap powder.
- Adjust detergent amount based on laundry amount, soiling degree, and water hardness.
- Do not exceed recommended dosage to avoid excessive foam, poor rinsing, and for environmental protection.
- Dilute non-fluid softeners with water.
- If using a liquid detergent cup, place it in compartment 2.
- If using gel detergent (fluidal and no special cup), put it in main wash compartment during first water intake. If not fluidal or capsule, put directly into drum.
- Put tablet detergents in main wash compartment (2) or directly into drum.
- For starch, put liquid soda, powder soda, or fabric dye into softener compartment. Do not use softener and starch together. Wipe machine interior after use.
- For limescale remover, use products specifically for washing machines.
- For bleaches, add at beginning of prewash program (no detergent in prewash compartment) or during first rinsing step with extra rinse program. Do not mix bleach and detergent. Use small amounts (approx. 50 ml) and rinse well. Do not pour directly onto laundry or use with colored items.
- For oxygen-based decolorant, use with low-temperature programs. If mixed with detergent, add detergent first, wait for flush, then add decolorant to the same compartment.
- Do not use liquid detergent with Delayed Start function to avoid stains.
Loading Laundry:
- Open laundry cover, place items loosely, close until locked.
- Maximum load capacity depends on laundry type, soiling, and program. Machine adjusts water automatically. Overloading reduces washing performance, increases noise and vibration.
Changing Selections After Programme Start:
- Press Start/Pause to pause. Loading Door light flashes.
- If water level is suitable, loading door light turns off, and door can be opened in 1-2 minutes to add/remove laundry.
- Auxiliary functions, speed, and temperature can be changed if compatible with the current programme step.
Cancelling Programme:
- Turn Programme Selection knob to another programme. Previous programme is cancelled. End/Cancel light flashes continuously.
- Machine ends programme but does not discharge water. New programme starts depending on the cancelled step (may take in more water or continue with existing water).
Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning extends product life and reduces problems.
Detergent Drawer Cleaning:
- Clean regularly (every 4-5 washing cycles) to prevent powder detergent accumulation.
- Remove siphon by lifting its rear part and pulling.
- Wash drawer and siphon with lukewarm water. Wear gloves.
- Insert drawer back, ensuring it is seated well.
Loading Door and Drum Cleaning:
- For models with a drum cleaning programme, run it regularly (every 2 months).
- Use detergent/anti-limescale suitable for washing machines.
- After every wash, ensure no foreign substance is left in the drum.
- Open blocked holes on the bellow with a toothpick.
- Clean rust stains in the drum with stainless steel cleaning agents. Never use steel wool or wire wool.
Body and Control Panel Cleaning:
- Wipe body with soapy water or mild gel detergents, then dry with a soft cloth.
- Use a soft, damp cloth for the control panel.
Water Intake Filters Cleaning:
- Filters are located at the end of each water intake valve at the rear and at the end of each water intake hose connected to the tap.
- Close taps.
- Remove nuts of water intake hoses to access filters.
- Clean filters with a brush. If very dirty, remove with pliers and clean under running water.
- Replace seals and filters, tighten nuts by hand.
Draining Remaining Water and Cleaning Pump Filter:
- The pump filter prevents solid items from clogging the pump impeller. Clean it whenever clogged or every 3 months.
- Drain water before cleaning the filter.
- Unplug the machine.
- Wait for water to cool down (can be up to 90°C).
- Open the filter cover.
- Place a large vessel in front of the filter to collect water.
- Turn and loosen the pump filter counterclockwise until water flows.
- Once water is drained, remove the filter completely.
- Clean residues and fibers around the pump impeller.
- Replace the filter. If the filter cap is two pieces, close by pressing on the tab. If one piece, seat lower tabs first, then press upper part.
- If the product is not in use, shut the tap, remove mains pipe, and drain water to prevent freezing.
- Turn off the water tap after each use.
