  If your wireless network performance is slow, inconsistent, suffers from a weak signal, or you're having difficulty maintaining a connection with your wireless network using the Belkin Extender, it may be due to the distance between your devices and the extender. Wireless technology is radio-based, so connectivity and throughput decrease as distance increases. To improve performance, try moving high-traffic devices closer to the Range Extender, or try wiring them to your router with an Ethernet cable.

  To set up WPA security: 1. Log in to your Router by visiting http://router/ with your web browser. 2. Click 'Wireless' in the left-hand menu, then click 'Security'. 3. Select the 'WPA/WPA2' option. 4. Enter a password (8–63 characters, including spaces and punctuation, OR a 64-digit hexadecimal number using 0–9 and A–F). 5. Click 'Apply Changes' to finish. If configuring over a wireless connection, you will need to reconnect after changing security settings. If older computers can't connect, try 128-bit or 64-bit WEP, or seek software updates from their manufacturers.

  First, check that your Belkin Network Router is powered on and the front-panel light is solid green. If the light is not green, ensure the router is properly connected to a power source. If you are far from the Router, move closer to see if you are out of range. If the issue persists, connect a computer to the Router using a network cable and go to http://router/ to ensure that 'Broadcast SSID' is turned ON.
