Usage Features:
The trimmer consists of a power head, auxiliary handle, shaft connector, safety guard, cutting head, and speed adjustment button.
Assembly:
- Installing the line trimmer attachment: Align the male square shaft of the line trimmer attachment with the female square hole in the coupling connector. Insert completely. Rotate until an audible 'click' indicates the locking pin is in position. Press the locking plate. Tighten the connector knob to secure.
- Installing auxiliary handle: Remove bolts from the auxiliary handle. Install the handle on the shaft and tighten bolts with nuts to firmly secure it.
Operation:
- Inserting the battery pack: Align the groove on the battery pack with the mounting ribs and press down until a "click" is heard. Ensure it's firmly secured.
- Removing the battery pack: Depress the battery releasing/locking button on the housing. The battery pack will pop up automatically. To fully remove, lift and hold the battery pack while pressing the release button again, then pull it out. The battery lock has two positions for installation and removal.
- Switching On/Off:
- To switch ON: Depress the safety lock button (A) and squeeze the switch trigger (B) simultaneously. Select the desired speed setting by depressing the speed adjustment button. Release the thumb from the safety button.
- To switch OFF: Release the on/off trigger switch. Always switch off before placing the trimmer down.
- Speed Adjustment: The trimmer has 3 speed settings (4500, 5000, 5500 RPM). With the trimmer ON, press the speed adjustment button to cycle through speeds. Pressing the button at the highest speed will reduce it to the lowest.
- Increasing Line Length: The trimmer comes with a full spool. New line can be fed out by tapping the bump knob on the ground while operating the trimmer. For best cutting performance, cut high grass in stages, starting from the tip.
- Special notice for lawn trimmer use: Avoid cutting wet grass as it can stick to the cutting head and guard, prevent proper discharge, and cause slips. Be careful near trees and bushes to avoid damaging bark or fence posts.
Maintenance Features:
- Removing/replacing the cutting bump head: Before any assembly, remove the battery pack. If the nylon cutting line is broken or the spool needs replacing:
- Line up the safety spacer hole with the hole on the side of the guard.
- Place a small screwdriver or metal rod in the spacer hole.
- Rotate the head clockwise to loosen and remove.
- Reverse steps 1-3 to reinstall. Ensure the cutting head is securely located.
- Removing/replacing trimmer line:
- Press the release clip on the cutting bump head, then rotate the spool cover clockwise and pull it out.
- Pull out the spool retainer, keeping the spring and washers in position. Clean any remaining spool line, dirt, and debris. Replace the spool line if damaged.
- Take approximately 4 m / 13.2 ft. of 2.4 mm / 0.095” diameter line. Insert the midpoint into the slot bottom in the central rim of the spool.
- Wrap the line evenly and firmly around the spool in the arrowhead direction (counterclockwise when the tap button is towards you) on both grooves.
- Position the lines in the guide slots with 7.5~12.5 cm / 3~5" line left. Insert the ends of the lines through the line exit holes in the side of the spool container.
- Place the spool back into the spool container, ensuring the spring is in position.
- Reinstall the spool cover, push, and rotate it counterclockwise until it snaps into place.
- Note: It is recommended to replace the entire cutting bump head if the trimmer line is not accessible for replacement.
- General Maintenance:
- Always remove the battery pack and wait for the cutting line to stop before any repair work.
- Do not spray the trimmer with water.
- Clean the unit with a cloth, hand brush, etc.
- Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Always wear heavy-duty gloves when adjusting or cleaning, especially when handling sharp objects.
Storage and Transport:
- Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly. Do not use water, solvents, or polishes.
- Store the machine in a dry place. Do not place other objects on top of it.
- Use the original packaging for transport whenever possible.
Troubleshooting:
The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues:
- Product does not start: Check battery charge and placement, safety lock, or motor overload.
- Tool is vibrating: Check guard fitment, cutting line diameter, or if the cutting head is bound with grass.
- Trimmer will not advance line: Check if spool is empty, line is twisted/tangled, or cutting head is dirty.
- Grass wrapped around cutting head: Recommend cutting shorter lengths of grass.
- Line is not cutting: Trimmer guard blade may be worn; sharpen or replace.
