6. SETUP
UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY
OPENING THE PACKAGING: The machine is shipped partially dismantled and
packaged in a metal crate to protect it during transport. The packaged machine
will appear as in Fig 1.
Wear heavy gloves.
1. Remove all shrink wrap and cut the three plastic straps that surround the
package.
2. Lift off the corrugated exterior cover assembly.
3. Remove the six screws near the front of tractor (Fig 2A) and remove the wooden
cross plank from the base pallet. (Fig 2B).
To prevent damaging the blade deck and blade, move the cutting deck to
its maximum height before driving the tractor off the wooden base platform. Be careful
when performing this delicate unpacking operation.
ADD ENGINE OIL AND FUEL BEFORE PROCEEDING TO STEP 4 AND
STARTING THE RIDER!
BEFORE PROCEDING TO STEP 4:
Follow instructions in the Operator’s Manual to install the steering wheel (Section
3.2.1 FITTING THE STEERING WHEEL) and seat (Section 3.2.3 FITTING THE SEAT).
