Touring your DC P5002
1.2.2 Rear View
• The Inst. REC button, i.e. Instant Record button, allows you to power up the camera and
quickly access Snapshot Mode/Movie Mode in sequence, without pressing the [ ] but-
ton. To activate this special feature, refer to the table in “Setup Mode Menu” on page 20.
• The Inst. Play button, i.e. Instant Play button, allows you to power up the camera and
quickly access Playback Mode, without pressing the [ ] button. To activate this special
feature, refer to the table in “Setup Mode Menu” on page 20.
1.2.3 LED Indicators
• The LCD on the digital camera is manufactured with sophisticated technology; however,
the display may have some light spots or show unusual colors. This is normal and does
not indicate display malfunction, nor will this affect the pictures you take with the camera.
Indicators State Description
Status LED
Solid green • The DC P500 is powered up and ready to be used.
• The USB connection is in progress.
• The DC P500 is in the power saving mode.
Blinking green • The DC P500 is processing or accessing data.
Blinking orange • There are error or warning messages.
Self-timer LED
Solid red • The sound recording or movie recording functions are activated.
Blinking red • The self-timer function is activated.
Conversion adapter
LED
Solid Red • The DC P500 is charging.
Solid green • The charging process is complete.
