Overview

The Beurer FS 60 is a facial sauna designed for domestic and private use, providing an ideal basis for cosmetic facial care. It prepares the skin for further treatments such as deep cleansing, moisturizing, and face masks by increasing skin circulation and opening pores, which helps in easier removal of impurities. This device is not intended for commercial or medical use.

Function Description

The facial sauna operates by heating water to produce steam, which is then directed towards the face through a mask. It features a basic unit with a water container, a rotary switch for controlling output levels, and an indicator light. The device comes with two attachments: a facial sauna steam mask for the entire face and a facial sauna steam mask for the nose and mouth. An aroma attachment is also included, allowing for aromatherapy treatments using medicinal herbs, oils, or other aromatic substances. The steam outlet can be regulated by turning a steam disc, and there's also a steam valve at the back of the device. The device is powered by mains electricity and includes overheating protection, which switches it off if the water container runs dry.

Usage Features

To use the facial sauna, first uncoil the cable fully and place the device on a flat, firm, level, and water-insensitive surface. Use the provided measuring cup to fill the water container with water, ensuring not to exceed the maximum filling level. The water volume at maximum filling level is sufficient for approximately 20 minutes of use. It's crucial not to fill the container directly under running water. Do not use oils, herbs, or other aromatic substances as a substitute for water; they should only be added to an adequate water filling.

Attach the desired steam mask (either for the entire face or the nose/mouth) onto the basic unit by turning it, ensuring it engages firmly with the knobs. Plug the device into the socket. Turn the rotary switch clockwise until the blue indicator light illuminates. To speed up heating, initially turn the switch to position "2". Steam will begin to rise after about 3 minutes. Once steam is produced, turn the switch back to position "1" to reduce the steam output.

The strength of the steam outlet can be further regulated by turning the steam disc. Closing the steam outlet will direct steam through the steam valve at the back of the device or mask and can also shorten the water heating phase. When using the device, sit in front of it and bend forward until your face is positioned above the mask. It is important not to hold or adjust the device during operation to avoid burn injuries from hot water. If the steam feels too hot, increase the distance between your face and the mask. Always keep your eyes closed during use and protect heat-sensitive areas.

For aromatherapy, open the lid of the aroma attachment, place a few drops of oil on a cotton wool ball, put the cotton wool ball into the attachment, and then close it. Do not fill fragrances directly into the water containers, as this may cause a fault and void the warranty.

When using the nose/mouth steam mask, never use the device on position "2" due to the sensitivity of the nasal mucous membrane. Do not keep your nose too close to the mask.

The facial sauna should not be used for longer than 20 minutes per day, with 2-3 times a week being recommended. For the nose/mouth steam mask, treatment should not exceed 10 minutes per day, 2-3 times a week. After use, rinse your face with cold water and apply a face cream or mask.

Maintenance Features

After each use, switch off the device and unplug it. Allow it to cool for about 10-15 minutes before removing the steam mask by turning it anticlockwise. Empty any remaining liquid from the side of the vaporizer, ensuring no liquids enter the device through the switch, cable, or bottom.

To prevent the collection of grease and chalk deposits, clean the device after each use. Use a commercially available decalcification agent suitable for aluminium to clean chalk deposits. For general cleaning, use a soft and slightly moistened cloth to clean the surface of the device and the steam mask, then wipe them dry.

Do not use harsh cleaning agents such as alcohol, acetone, benzine, or abrasives on the plastic parts. Avoid using sharp or pointed objects for cleaning. Never immerse the device in water. Ensure the device is fully cooled down before operating it again.
