3. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES
WARNING

The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed
and in the manner specified in these instructions for use�
•
This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people
with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been
instructed on how to use the device safely, and have understood the
risks involved�

Children must not play with the device�
•
Danger of suocation! Keep packaging materials away from children�
•
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children
unless supervised�
DANGER

Do not use this device near bathtubs, shower trays or other
containers which have water in them�
•
Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other
liquids! If the device falls into water, do not reach into the water! First
switch o the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of
the socket�
•
If using the curling tongs in the bathroom, unplug them after use –
this is because proximity to water constitutes a danger even when the
curling tongs are switched o�
•
As an additional safety measure, the installation in the bathroom circuit
of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated tripping current not
exceeding 30 mA is recommended� Ask your installer for advice�

This device is not designed for use in commercial areas�
•
If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a
similarly qualified person to avoid any risk� Do not use the device if it is
damaged or not functioning correctly�

Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable
