PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
PREPARATION FOR USE
The AP 500 electronic air purication system with ActivePure® Technology is designed to
reduce odors, smoke and remove many other indoor air pollutants.
1. Remove unit from shipping carton.
2. Remove all packing materials.
3. Read owner's manual thoroughly prior to installation.
4. Determine placement location for the unit and follow installation instructions in
this owner's manual.

The AP 500 requires little maintenance beyond
annual replacement of the ActivePure Cell. Regular
monthly cleaning of the grills, lter and case is
recommended. Please contact your local Beyond
by Aerus franchise when service is required.
1. Remove the filter from the bottom of unit.
a. Carefully vacuum grills monthly
b. Wipe down case with a soft, damp cloth
2. Rinse filter with clean water. Allow to dry.
Place clean filter back into unit.

3. For optimal performance, we recommend the replacement of the ActivePure Cell
every year, even if the UV lamp appears to be operating normally. ActivePure Cell
removal and replacement instructions can be found on page 6 of this manual.
