How To Use
Pulling a Vacuum
1.Once the column is full you can pressurize the column to remove
excess oxygen and moisture.
To do this, ensure that the bottom valve is in the “closed” position. Then
attach a hose to the bottom of the column and open the valve. Next,
ensuring the hose is connected to a pump, turn on the pump and begin
to remove the oxygen and moisture from within the column.
(This allows the butane to be administered and pass through the material
at a much faster rate) you can tell when a vacuum has been reached by
closing and opening the bottom valve.
If tone of the pump remains the same, a full vacuum has been reached.
How To Use
Cooling The Column
1. Freezing the column after pulling a vacuum is highly beneficial when
improving quality, clarity, and yield.
This can be done by placing the vacuumed tube into a freezer or dry ice
and letting the tube freeze for a minimum of two hours.
