Arcadex stem and handlebar
The handlebar kit that comes with the Arcadex frame consists of a stem and handlebar bend specially designed for this frame.
The Arcadex frame uses the ICR headset system from Acros for total integration of the cables within the handlebar and frame. The
stem has a design that allows perfect integration with the headset.
When assembled, the cables will enter the handlebar bend near the levers and exit under the handlebar stem and enter the frame
through the shims (spacers) and headset.
The stem is available in lengths: 80 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 110 mm, 120 mm.
The height adjustment of this type of handlebar stem can originally be carried out by your specialist dealer. In view of the importance
and complexity of this specific component, we always advise you to consult your specialist retailer for stem adjustment and to fully
understand the mechanisms and methods of adjustment.
DANGER!
Observe the tightening torques specified on the stem. Incorrectly tightened torques can lead to malfunctioning or breakage of the
component resulting in loss of vehicle control and crashes!
Never use the product if assembly work is incomplete or incorrectly carried out. Doing so endangers yourself and other traffic.
WARNING!
Turn the handlebar to the left and right, do not use the bike if you notice abnormal steering behaviour (play in the steering or uneven
resistance) or if cracks and crazing are evident.
In the event of a fall or accident, the handlebar will almost certainly be involved. It will be subjected to heavy stress and impacts. The
presence of deep scratches and cracks indicates that parts must be replaced.
WARNING!
If the handlebar is damaged, use of the Arcadex bicycle must be discontinued immediately.
Only return to use the Arcadex after the specialist dealer has thoroughly inspected it and, if necessary, replaced the handlebar if
damaged.
The gear/brake levers are attached to the handlebar bend with a clamp integrated into the control
lever.
Pay close attention to the correct positioning of the levers, use the fixing position within the limits
indicated by the upper grip zone (image 1A).
Consult the specific gear/brake lever manufacturer's manual for the tightening torque to be applied.
To preserve the integrity of the handlebar bend, do not exceed the maximum torque of 10 Nm.
