FLYING DIAMOND 6 AND 8 SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove contents from stu sack and lay on ground.
2. Assemble the six poles: two completely silver poles, two with dark gray ends,
one shorter silver pole and one with red ends. Be careful to insert each pole
section into the next by hand instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them
together to ensure each pole section is fully seated.
3. Spread the body out fully. The front of the tent has orange webbing at the
corners.
4. Feed the two all-silver poles through the two pole sleeves that cross over each
other in the middle of the tent body. The ends of these poles go into the grom-
mets on the webbing straps at points A and C on the tent body (see illustra-
tion). Use the grommets closest to the tent body.
5. Feed one pole with dark gray ends over the silver poles and through the pole
sleeve above the front door. Insert the ends of this pole into the inner grom-
mets located on the black webbing at points B.
6. Repeat step 5 with the remaining pole with dark gray ends. It will go through
the pole sleeve that is opposite the sleeve in step 5. Use the outer grommets on
the webbing at points B.
7. Feed the pole with red ends trough the remaining sleeve on the body at the
rear (separate room) of the tent and insert the ends of the pole into the remain-
ing free grommets in the webbing at points C.
8. Attach all clips on the tent body to the poles.
9. Stake out the body being sure to pull tight when driving each stake. Start by
staking out the webbing at points A, next C, next B, and nally the webbing
loops at points D.
10. Drape the rainy over the tent lining up the red webbing on the y with the red
webbing of the tent body.
11. Make sure the webbing at the corners of the rainy are completely slackened.
Buckle the buckles at points B and C together leaving the buckles at the front
of the tent undone.
12. Feed the remaining (shorter silver) trough the sleeve on the underside of the
rainy above the front door.
13. Near the two ends of the pole locate the two grommets in the webbing straps
and insert the pole ends into the grommets, attach the two Velcro loops on the
underside of the rainy to the pole and buckle the orange buckles.
14. Ax the small Velcro loops on the rain y to the poles around the front door
and attach the two ends of the remaining buckles together.
15. Stake out the front and rear vestibules (points E and F).
16. Evenly tension the webbing on each buckle as needed to keep the rainy taut.
17. Stake out all guy lines. Remember that you can attach multiple guy lines to a
single stake. This is especially useful on the sides of the tent.
Separate 6”, large diameter pole segment included for emergency eld repair.
Slide repair pole over the break to act as a splint.
