Why does my Billion Network Router frequently disconnect?
    • J
      Jeremiah BarronAug 21, 2025
Frequent disconnections of your Billion Network Router can be caused by missing or incorrectly installed line filters. Make sure all devices connected to the same phone line (telephones, fax machines, modems) have a line filter between them and the wall socket. If you have a Central Splitter or Central Filter installed by an electrician, this isn't necessary. Ensure all line filters are correctly installed.

First, check the Ethernet LEDs on the front panel. The LED should be on for a port that has a PC connected. If it is off, check the cables between your router and the PC. Also, make sure you have uninstalled any software firewall for troubleshooting. Second, verify that the IP address and the subnet mask are consistent between the router and the workstations.
