1. Before using the appliance, please check the voltage and the type of plug that
is required for your location.
2. Beforeusingitforthersttime,removeallpackagingmaterialsfromthe
appliance and its accessories, thoroughly clean and dry the appliance as
described in the “CARE AND MAINTENANCE” section.
3. Placetheapplianceonadry,atandstableworkingsurface.Makesureitis
unplugged and both the cooking switch and the Sauté On/Off switch are in its
“OFF” position.
4. Provide adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation when
using the appliance. Do not allow it to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing,
dishtowelsorotherammablematerialsduringuse.
5. Never plug in the appliance without food in the cooking pot, or without the
cooking pot inside the housing, and or without the lid.
Cooking Rice
IMPORTANT: Before cooking rice, the Sauté function must be manually
turned off.
- Make sure the appliance is unplugged.
- Open the lid and take out the cooking pot.
- Measure raw rice for desired amount with the measuring cup provided.
- Add rice and proper amount of water into the cooking pot.
- Place the cooking pot into the housing. Make sure it is in proper contact with
the heating element.
NOTE: Before putting the cooking pot back into the housing, check and
ensure the outside of the pot and the heating element are dry and clean, and
that there is no foreign object shall be on the surface.
- Replace the glass lid.
NOTE: Do not operate the appliance uncovered. Steam is generated
during use.
- Attachtheplugtothemainunitrstandthenconnectthepowercordtothe
mains electricity supply. The keep warm indicator lights up.
- Press the one-touch rice cooking switch to start cooking. The keep warm
indicator will go out with the cooking indicator lighting up.
