Receiving Equipment

Products leaving the factory are inspected; inspect all equipment upon receipt for any transit damage and report immediately.

Warranty Information

The seller warrants equipment against defective workmanship and material for fifteen (15) months from factory shipment or one (1) year from commissioning.

Physical Description and Theory of Operation

Principle of Operation

The ActiveOx Series ionization generator rail is designed for plenum mounting, installed in the supply or return air side of an AHU.

ActiveOx Generator Series Bi-Polar Ionization Unit

This unit is a needlepoint Bi-Polar ionization device that produces synchronized bipolar ionization of an air stream.

System Regulation

Power input to ionization generators is not adjustable.

Building Management System Control (BMSC)

The ActiveOx Series generator rail offers an option for a control box for building management system (BMS) or BAS interface.

Installation Procedures

Initial Setup and Clearances

Generator rails install in AHU supply/return plenum; minimum MERV 8 prefilter required. Maintain clearances from filters and surfaces.

Installation Guidelines

Install rail assembly per guidelines; ensure ionizers are accessible for future service.

Airflow Orientation

The rail must be installed so air blows perpendicular to the ionizer module needle electrodes.

Wiring Connections

Connect wiring to the ActiveOx generator rail(s) following the specific wiring diagram for the application.

Operation and Maintenance

Operating the System

To start, provide appropriate supply voltage; blue LEDs indicate energized modules. Turn off using the power switch.

Maintenance Recommendations

Recommends semi-annual inspections and cleaning to ensure modules are free of debris and maintain optimal performance.

Troubleshooting Generator Energization
