NN. Installing the belt guide
Install the belt guide in the slot of the right dropout using a size 5 Allen
wrench. Align it at a distance of 1 – 1.5 mm from the back of the belt and tighten
the bolt to a torque of 6 Nm.
OO. Adjusting the headset play
The bearing of the fork in the frame (headset) of the smart ebike must rotate easily and without play.
As part of a quality assurance measure, the tightening torque of the stem clamping bolts has been increased from
6 Nm to 10 Nm. In practice, tightening one of the clamping bolts always affects the torque of the other. The increased
tightening torque of 10 Nm is therefore intended to ensure that the required clamping force is obtained, which is
reached at a torque of 6 Nm per bolt.
Stand the ebike on the ground and place your fingers around the gap between
the head tube and the fork crown.
With your other hand, pull the front brake and push the smart ebike firmly
forwards and back.
If you can feel movement between the headset and the frame, the A-head cap
must be tightened slightly more. Then check the ease of movement of the
steering by lifting the front of the ebike by the frame and allowing the
handlebar to move freely.
Align the handlebar with the axis of the ebike.
