VV. Filling/ bleeding the brake
Never pull the brake lever while the brake system is open.
221.
(only front brake caliper)
Remove the upper brake caliper retaining bolt using a size 5 Allen wrench.
222.
Unscrew the filler screw on the brake caliper using the size 3 Allen wrench.
223.
Screw the threaded fitting by hand into the filler hole of the brake caliper
finger-tight.
224.
Unscrew the upper screw plug in the brake lever using the T25 Torx wrench.
225.
Insert the fitting of the bleed kit bottle into the upper bleed hole.
226.
(only rear brake caliper) Align the brake caliper so that the brake caliper
retaining bolts are lined up vertically, exactly one above the other. The line
connection is then at the highest point on the brake caliper. This is the only
way to ensure that the brake caliper can be filled without air and bled
completely!
227.
Use the filling syringe on the brake caliper to press the Magura Royal Blood
mineral oil carefully through the brake until the bleed kit bottle on the brake
lever is filled.
