Draw the mineral oil back again with the lower filling syringe. Make sure that
there is always sufficient mineral oil in the bleed kit bottle on the brake lever
so that no air is drawn into the brake system from there. Repeat this procedure
slowly until no more air bubbles emerge either at the top in the brake lever or
at the brake caliper.
In doing so, pull slowly on the brake lever several times and release it abruptly
in order to dislodge any trapped air bubbles.
When no more air bubbles emerge, draw the mineral oil into the lower filling
syringe until only a small quantity of it remains in the bleed kit bottle.
Wrap a rag around the brake lever and carefully disconnect the fitting of the
bleed kit bottle.
Squeeze a little more mineral oil into the brake system with the lower filling
syringe until the bleed hole in the brake lever is full to the edge.
Screw the screw plug into the bleed hole in the brake lever. The screw must be
flush with the housing of the brake lever.
Unscrew the filler fitting from the filler hole in the brake caliper.
Close the filler hole with the filler screw and tighten it to a torque of 2.5 Nm.
Before reinstalling used brake caliper retaining bolts, apply a drop of thread
lock (medium strength, e.g. Loctite 243) to the thread.
(only front brake caliper)
Install the upper brake caliper retaining bolt using a size 5 Allen wrench.
