Why won't my Bissell 24613 Vacuum Cleaner pick up dirt?

Several factors can cause this. The filters might be dirty, so remove and rinse the Pre-Motor Filters, allowing them to dry before reinserting, and dust off the Post-Motor Filter. There could be a clog in the vacuum; remove the bottom cover to check for and remove any debris buildup before reinstalling. Ensure the Dirt Tank is correctly seated by releasing and reseating it. Inspect the Main Hose for cracks or holes; if found, order a replacement from the BISSELL website. Also, make sure the Main Hose is connected properly by pushing the hose connection. Check the Lower Hose for clogs, disconnecting it and using a broom handle to push out any debris. Finally, if hair is wrapped around the Brush Roll, run the vacuum back and forth on clean carpet to release it.
