Why does my Bissell HARD FLOOR EXPERT 1161 Vacuum Cleaner have weakened suction power?

If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner has weakened suction power, several factors could be responsible. First, the dust cup might be full, so you should empty it. Also, the filter(s) may be dusty, requiring you to check, clean, or replace them. A clog in the hard floor tool or hose could also be the cause; follow instructions E3 on page 6 for cleaning the hard floor tool. Finally, ensure that the variable suction isn't set to the lowest speed; press the “+” on the remote to increase the suction.
