Why won't my Bissell Vacuum Cleaner pick up dirt?
- DDr. Robin BirdJul 28, 2025
If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner won’t pick up dirt, it might be due to a clog. Remove the main hose and use a broomstick to clear any obstructions. Also, the filters might be dirty. Remove and rinse the Pre-Motor Filters, allowing them to dry completely before putting them back. Remove and dust off the Post-Motor Filter. Another reason could be incorrect suction control settings; adjust using the Suction Control feature. Finally, remove the lower hose and run a broomstick through to clear any clogs. You may also need to remove the bottom brush cover and clear any debris from the brush, belt, and foot area.
