  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up dirt, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the Vacuum Suction Knob is set to 'Floor Suction'. Dirty filters can also be the culprit; remove and rinse the pre-motor filters, allowing them to dry completely before reinserting, and dust off the post-motor filter. Check for clogs in the vacuum, hose, or wand, removing any obstructions. Make sure the Dirt Container is correctly seated. If there's a crack or hole in the Main Hose, you'll need to order a replacement from the BISSELL website. Also, ensure the Main Hose is properly connected. Finally, if hair is wrapped around the brush roll, run the vacuum back and forth on a clean carpet to release it.

  If dirt is escaping from your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the Dirt Container may be full; empty it. Also, ensure that all Pre-Motor and Post-Motor filters are in place.

  If the brush roll on your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't rotating, try these solutions: * Ensure the Brush roll switch is turned on. * Recline the vacuum from its upright position and switch on the Brush roll. * If vacuuming on Premium Soft Carpet, adjust the Height Adjustment Knob to the 'high carpet' setting and turn the vacuum off and back on. * Unplug the vacuum and check for and remove any debris if the brush roll safety feature has been triggered (indicated by the blue light changing to red around the height adjustment knob). * Unplug the vacuum and remove any lodged debris or entanglements that may be preventing the brush roll from rotating.
