  Loss of suction power in your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner can occur due to several reasons: * The tanks may not be seated properly. Ensure both tanks are picked up and reseated so they fit snugly on the machine. * The nozzles may not be assembled properly. Unplug the machine and check that the 'lip' of the nozzle is securely hooked into the groove on the bottom of the machine. * The portable spot & stain cleaner is not completely attached. Make sure it is securely attached. * The Dirty Water Tank is full. Empty the Dirty Water Tank if it has reached the maximum fill line. * The Clean Water Tank is empty. Check the fluid levels in the tank. * The suction gate is open. Ensure the suction gate is closed.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't spraying properly, first, refill the formula & water tank. If that doesn't work, turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank completely. If you are using the portable spot cleaning mode, the pump may have lost its prime; hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it. Also, ensure the portable spot cleaner is attached completely by pushing down firmly.

  A loss of suction power in your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner can occur for several reasons. The tanks may not be seated properly; pick up both tanks and reseat them so they fit snugly on the unit. The nozzles may not be assembled properly; unplug the unit and check to make sure the "lip" of the nozzle cover is securely hooked into the groove on the top of the nozzle. Also, make sure the portable spot cleaner is attached completely. The dirty tank might have reached the full line, so try emptying the dirty tank. Ensure the formula & water tank is not empty and that the suction gate is closed.

  If the DirtLifter® PowerBrush on your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't turning, here are a few things to check: 1. Ensure the portable spot & stain cleaner is properly attached. Push down firmly to check. 2. Make sure the machine is not in the upright position. The brushes only rotate when the machine is reclined using the recline pedal. 3. Check if the circuit breaker on the machine has tripped. Turn the machine OFF, unplug it, and check for any foreign objects caught in the Brush Roll. Remove any objects, then plug the machine back in to reset the circuit breaker. 4. Inspect the belt. If it is off or broken, turn the power OFF, unplug the machine, and visit support.BISSELL.com for instructions on replacing the belt.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner has reduced or no spray, consider the following: * The Clean Water Tank might be empty. Refill the tank. * The Clean Water Tank might not be seated completely. Turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank. * The pump might have lost prime in portable spot cleaning mode. Hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it. * The portable spot & stain cleaner is not attached completely. Push down firmly to check the connection.

  Several factors can prevent the DirtLifter® PowerBrush from turning. First, ensure the portable spot cleaner is fully attached. The brushes will only rotate when the unit is reclined using the recline pedal. Check if the circuit breaker on the machine has tripped; if so, turn the machine OFF, unplug it, and check for any foreign objects caught in the brush roll. Remove any obstruction and plug the machine back in to reset the breaker. Also, make sure the dirty tank is not full, and the formula & water tank is not empty.
