  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up dirt, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the ReadyTools dial is correctly set for your cleaning task; use the "Tools" setting for the hose and "Floor Cleaning" for upright use. Check that the nozzle window is properly attached by firmly pressing down on the black oval gasket. Also, make sure the 2-in-1 tank lid and the tank itself are correctly installed and seated. Adjust the angle and apply more downward pressure if you're using handheld attachments. Finally, empty the 2-in-1 tank if it's full.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't turning on, first, make sure the power switch is turned ON ( I ). This should illuminate the light on the front of the machine. If it still doesn't work, try plugging the vacuum into another working wall outlet to rule out a power issue with the outlet itself.

  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner is not spraying properly, the bladder may be empty; refill it with hot tap water. Ensure the 2-in-1 Tank is correctly seated by turning the power OFF (O) and reseating the tank. If the pump has lost its prime, turn the power OFF, hold the spray trigger for 30 seconds, then turn the machine back on to check for spray.

How to clean a Bissell STAINEXPERT 6 ReadyTools dial that is difficult to turn?

  To resolve a ReadyTools dial that's hard to turn on your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, remove the nozzle and the diverter assembly. Rinse the diverter assembly under running water, ensuring water flows through and around the dial. Rotate the dial about 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise to dislodge any debris. Wipe the diverter and nozzle dry before reassembling them onto the machine.
