If the Link LED is off on your Black Box Switch, ensure both the switch and the connected device are powered on. Also, verify the cable is properly plugged into both the switch and the device. If the switch is in a rack, inspect connections to the punch-down block and patch panel. Confirm you're using the correct cable type and that it doesn't exceed length limits. Check the adapter and cable connections on the connected device for defects, and replace any defective components as needed.
