(a) With generator running, power is now
provided to the receptacles.
(b) Allow generator to warm up for 3 to 5
minutes, then plug in items to be powered,
using only grounded extension cords.
WARNING: DO NOT overload
generator or electrical cords.
(a) Connect 12 volt battery following
instructions on page 7 of the
operator’s manual (see Figure 4).
(b) Turn fuel valve under tank to the
ON position (see Figure 5).
(c) Pull choke control lever all the
way out (see Figure 5).
(d) Turn the switch key to “START.”
Release switch key after the
engine starts (see Figure 6).
(e) Generator may also be started
by slowly pulling on the starter
rope handle (see Figure 5) until
resistance is felt. Then pull cord
rapidly to overcome compression
to start engine.
(f) Slowly push choke lever in as
engine warms.

(a) Do not attempt to lift generator out of the carton.
Cut each corner of the carton to open and lay
carton at (see Figure 1).
(b) Prior to assembly check to ensure you have all
the included items.
If items are missing or damaged call

UNPACK GENERATOR
ADD LUBRICANT AND FUEL
Always turn generator off before refueling.
(a) Move generator ouside to a at, level surface.
(b) Remove lubricant ll cap (see Figure 2).
(c) Use a funnel to pour the supplied lubricant
into the engine. Fill to the upper mark of the oil
dipstick. Use caution to avoid spilling.
(d) Replace lubricant ll cap.
(e) Remove fuel cap (see Figure 3) and ll with
REGULAR UNLEADED fuel. Do not overll.
Keep maximum fuel level 1/4 inch below the
top of the fuel tank. Do not mix lubricant with
fuel.
(f) Replace fuel cap.

(a) Before shutting engine off, unplug all electrical loads.
(b) Let engine run for 2 minutes.
(c) Turn switch key to OFF (see Figure 6).
(d) Turn fuel valve to OFF (see Figure 5).
(e) If generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the operator’s
manual for further instructions.

Unpack Generator Carton

Instructions for opening and laying flat the generator carton after delivery.

Basic Generator Assembly

Position Generator

Place the generator on a flat, level surface for assembly.

Install Portability Kit

Instructions for installing the portability kit with enclosed hardware.

Add Lubricant and Fuel

Prepare for Refueling

Ensure generator is off before adding lubricant or fuel.

Add Engine Lubricant

Pour supplied lubricant into the engine to the upper oil dipstick mark.

Add Fuel

Fill tank with REGULAR UNLEADED fuel, keeping level 1/4 inch below top.

Move Generator to Safe Location

Select Operating Location

Move generator outside to a flat, level surface away from openings.

Start Generator

Connect 12 Volt Battery

Connect the 12 volt battery following operator's manual instructions.

Set Fuel Valve and Choke

Turn fuel valve to ON and pull choke control lever fully out.

Start Engine with Key

Turn switch key to START; release once engine starts.

Start Engine with Rope

Pull starter rope handle slowly until resistance, then rapidly.

Adjust Choke

Slowly push choke lever in as the engine begins to warm up.

Power Control Panel

Power Availability

Power is provided to receptacles when the generator is running.

Warm-up and Connect Loads

Allow generator to warm up for 3-5 minutes before plugging in items.

Shut Down and Storage

Disconnect Loads

Unplug all electrical loads before shutting off the engine.

Engine Cool Down

Let the engine run for 2 minutes before turning it off.

Turn Off Generator

Turn the switch key to OFF and the fuel valve to OFF.

Long Term Storage

Refer to operator's manual for storage instructions longer than 30 days.
