Why Black Max BMi1000 engine will not start?
    • K
      Kathryn YoungAug 3, 2025
Your Black Max Inverter engine might fail to start due to several reasons. First, ensure the On/Off switch is in the ON (I) position. Another reason could be lack of fuel, so fill the fuel tank. Stale or contaminated gasoline can also be a culprit; in this case, drain the entire system and refill with fresh fuel. Check the lubricant level and replenish if needed. A faulty, fouled, or improperly gapped spark plug may also prevent starting, so replace it. Ensure the choke lever is in the START position, not RUN. If the engine was stored without proper fuel treatment or was refueled with bad gasoline, drain the fuel and carburetor, then refuel with fresh gasoline. Finally, a dirty fuel filter can cause starting issues, in which case you should contact a qualified service center.

      Shannon LeblancAug 8, 2025
If the AC receptacle on your Black Max Inverter isn't working, it could be due to the generator being overloaded. Remove some loads and press the reset button. Another possibility is a defective item plugged in; try using a different item to see if that resolves the issue.

Why Black Max BMi1000 Inverter engine lacks power?
    • A
      Alicia TaylorAug 15, 2025
If your Black Max Inverter engine lacks power, it could be due to a dirty air filter. Check the air filter and clean or replace it as needed. Another potential cause is that the engine was stored without treating or draining gasoline, or it was refueled with bad gasoline. In this case, drain the fuel and carburetor and refuel with fresh gasoline.

How to fix Black Max BMi1000 engine hard to start?
    • E
      Emily LeeAug 20, 2025
If your Black Max Inverter engine is hard to start, one potential reason is water in the gasoline. To resolve this, drain the entire system and refill with fresh fuel. Another possible cause is a weak spark at the spark plug, in which case you should contact a qualified service center.

What does it mean if my Black Max Inverter makes a "spark knock" noise?
    • M
      Mr. James HallAug 27, 2025
An occasional light knocking or pinging noise under a heavy load is usually not a cause for concern. However, if the knocking or pinging occurs under normal load at a steady engine speed, try switching to a different brand of gasoline with an octane rating of 86 or higher. If the problem continues, contact a qualified service center.
