Why is my food undercooked in my Black+Decker scd4007 slow cooker?

There are several reasons why your food might be undercooked when using your Black+Decker slow cooker. You may have used the wrong setting, so ensure you are using the correct setting for your recipe. Another reason could be that the power was interrupted; if this happened and you are unsure for how long, discard the food. Also, make sure the lid is placed evenly on top of the stoneware pot. Finally, keep the lid closed during cooking, as removing it adds 15–20 minutes to the cooking time each time.
