– Select "BT DF 311".
– If necessary, enter the PIN code "0000" and follow the instructions on
the display of the cell phone. After successful pairing, the display of the
BT Drive Free 311 shows "Paired" and you hear a voice announcement.
(Note: The PIN code is preprogrammed and cannot be changed)
– After pairing, the cell phone automatically connects with the BT Drive
Free 311. For some cell phones, you have to manually con rm the connec-
tion. As soon as the connection is established, the name of the cell phone
is brie y shown on the display and you hear a voice announcement. Next,
the BT Drive Free 311 changes to standby mode.
Note: If the pairing cannot be completed within 2 minutes, the pairing mode
is switched o and the display shows "Pairing fail". The BT Drive Free 311 then
changes to standby mode without Bluetooth connection. Switch o the
device and repeat the pairing.
Copying the phone book
You can copy a single phone book entry or the phone book to the
BT Drive Free 311. (Note: Not all cell phones support the transfer of the
phone book.)
Copying a phone book entry
– In standby mode, brie y press the MODE button. The display shows "Wait-
ing", and you hear a voice announcement.
– Open the phone book of the cell phone. Select a contact for copying.
– Send the selected contact via Bluetooth to the device name "BT DF 311".
The cell phone establishes a connection to the BT Drive Free 311 and
copies the contact.
Copying a phone book
– Connect the BT Drive Free 311 with the cell phone before copying the
phone book.
– In standby mode, press and hold the MODE button for 4 seconds. The
display shows "Download Start", and you hear a voice announcement.
The transfer of the phone book starts. The number of transferred contacts
is continuously shown on the display. After the transfer of the phone
book is complete, the display shows "Completed" and you hear a voice
announcement.
Note: Every time you transfer a phone book, the contacts of the previous
phone book are deleted.
