iDrive functions, for example radio stations, navi‐
gation destinations, telephone numbers and
shortcuts to the menu or pages of the integrated
Owner's Handbook, can be saved to functional
bookmarks and called up directly.
The settings are saved for the current driver pro‐
file.

Saving a function
A function can be saved to a functional book‐
mark. A button that has already been assigned a
function can be overwritten with a different func‐
tion.
1.
Select function via iDrive, for example radio
station.
2.
Press and hold the desired button
until the bar shown on the control display has
fully loaded.
Performing a function
Press the button.
The function is carried out immediately. If you
have selected a telephone number for example,
the connection will also be established.
Displaying the button assignment
Touch the buttons with your finger. Do not wear
gloves or use objects.
The button assignment is displayed in the upper
area of the control display.
