Install screws 1.
Brake system
Check brake operation
Actuate right-hand brake lever.
Pressure point must be clearly
perceptible.
Actuate left-hand brake lever.
Pressure point must be clearly
perceptible.
To check the parking brake,
extend the side stand and try
to slide the Maxi-Scooter back
and forth.
It must not be possible to slide
the Maxi-Scooter.
If no clear resistance points can
be felt or if the Maxi-Scooter can
be pushed:
Have the brakes checked at an
authorized workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Check front brake pad
thickness
Make sure ground is level and
firm and place Maxi-Scooter on
its center stand.
Conduct a visual inspection
of the brake pad thickness.
Viewing direction: left and
right between wheel and front
suspension toward brake
pads 1.
