Text recognition/dictation function
Principle
Spoken words are detected by speech recogni‐
tion and converted to text. The text can be sup‐
plemented and deleted as required.
General
The feature depends on the vehicle equipment
and the national-market version.
To use the function, data is sent across an en‐
crypted connection to a service provider where it
is then stored.
Operating requirements
The mobile phone must support the function.
The following functions are activated:

Improving speech recognition for contact
names
Principle
The contact names on a connected mobile
phone are transferred to the speech recognition.
This improves recognition of contact names
when they are converted into text. To use the
function, data is sent across an encrypted con‐
nection to a service provider where it is then
stored.
Activating/deactivating the function
1. "TEL"
2. "Device manager"
3. Select the required mobile phone.
4. "Telephone"
5. If necessary, select the entry for the contact
upload dictation function.
