Overview

This document provides installation instructions for the BMW "Komfort" ski rack, a genuine accessory designed to transport skis on a vehicle's roof. The manual emphasizes correct fitting and operation to ensure no damage to the vehicle and to maintain warranty rights.

Function Description:

The "Komfort" ski rack is designed to securely transport skis on the roof of a BMW vehicle. It integrates with the existing roof rack system. The rack allows for the transport of a maximum of three or six pairs of skis, depending on the specific parts kit. Skis are to be placed with their tips pointing to the rear of the vehicle. The loading process should start from the middle of the vehicle and work outwards, with unloading performed in the reverse order. The rack features a locking mechanism to secure the skis and prevent unauthorized removal.
