Removal And Installation
The tool listed will be needed
to
do the following
procedure:
MEL
1187
- Socket
Remove the engine. (See Page
7A-8
.)
Remove the four
bolts, holding the u-joint
on
the flywheel
[A].
Installation: Tighten the bolts to 270-300 in.-Ibs. (31-34
Nm)
torque.
Remove the u-joint
assembly
[B]
.
Put
blue LOCTITE #242
on
the four bolts.
Install
the u-joint.
NOTE:
Be
sure
u-joint
seats completely
in
the
bottom
of
the counterbore.
Put spline lube (MEL 1121)
on
the splines, before
installation.
