If a station of the currently selected pro-
gramme type is found, the radio will tune to it.
If no station of this programme type is found,
the radio will tune to the station that it was
tuned to last.
Treble reduction during interfer-
ence (HCUT)
The HCUT function improves the sound when
radio reception is poor. If reception interfer-
ence occurs, the interference level is cut
automatically.
To activate/deactivate “HCUT”,
ufirst switch to radio mode, if necessary.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ to open the
menu.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ repeatedly
until “HCUT” and the current setting
“OFF”, 1 or 2 (strength of the interference
level reduction) appear in the display ④.
uTurn the volume control ① anticlockwise
or clockwise to activate or deactivate
“HCUT”.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ (if necessary,
several times) to close the menu.
Button function programming
(KEY PRG)
You can program what function the or
button ⑥ should perform when they are briefly
pressed in radio mode. The following settings
are available:
uAUTOSEEK: Automatic seek for the next
receivable station.
uMANSEEK: Manual incremental frequency
adjustment.
uPRSTSCAN: Scan the station presets
stored in the current memory bank.
uBANDSCAN: Scan the receivable stations
in the current waveband.
To program the button function,
ufirst switch to FM radio mode, if neces-
sary.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ to open the
menu.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ repeatedly
until “KEY PRG” appears in the display ④.
uTurn the volume control ① anticlockwise
or clockwise to switch between the
settings.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ (if necessary,
several times) to close the menu.
Activating/deactivating radio text
(RADIOTXT)
Some radio stations use the RDS signal to
transmit advertising or other information
instead of their station name. This radio text is
shown in the display ④.
To activate/deactivate the displaying of radio
text,
upress the MENU button ⑤ to open the
menu.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ repeatedly
until “RADIOTXT” and the current setting
(“ON” or “OFF”) appear in the display ④.
uTurn the volume control ① anticlockwise
or clockwise to activate or deactivate
“RADIOTXT”.
uPress the MENU button ⑤ (if necessary,
several times) to close the menu.
