When the quick-clamping nut 3 is tightened without the arrow 1 being
within the index mark 2, the quick-clamping nut 3 can no longer be
manually released. Use a two-pin spanner for releasing the quick-
clamping nut; do not use a pipe wrench or similar.
Press the spindle lock button 6 to lock the grinder spindle 5 (see
figure B) or hold the grinder spindle 5 in place using a suitable span-
ner (see figure C). To tighten the quick-clamping nut 3, turn the grind-
ing disc firmly in clockwise direction.
A properly fastened, undamaged quick-clamping nut can be manually
loosened by turning the knurled ring in anticlockwise direction.
Never loosen a tight quick-clamping nut using pliers; always use
the two-pin spanner. Apply the two-pin spanner as shown in the fig-
ure – see figure D.
